This is a standard course that mainly follows the Kushiro River downstream through the Kushiro Wetlands.It takes about 90 minutes (8km) slowly from the middle stream of Kushiro Marsh to the downstream area.
Canoe & Bird-Watching Plan
Season: March 16 – November 30
Enjoy bird watching and photography from a canoe as you explore the beautiful Kushiro Marsh.
This approximately 17 km tour follows our longest course along the Kushiro River, from the middle reaches of Kushiro Marsh to the downstream area. The tour takes about 3.5 to 4 hours at a relaxed pace.
Free pick-up is available from hotels in Kushiro City.
The tour also includes a visit to Hosooka Observatory, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Kushiro Marshlands.
